Middletown Medical, the Hudson Valley’s premier provider of healthcare services, is pleased to welcome licensed acupuncturist Richard Yonke to its team of healthcare professionals. Yonke sees patients at Middletown Medical’s Physical Therapy Center located at 1219 Dolsontown Road.

Richard Yonke, L.Ac., M.S.O.M, is experienced in diagnosing, treating, and preventing illness through the administration of acupuncture. He operates a private practice in Carmel, N.Y. Prior to joining the Middletown Medical care team, Yonke worked alongside physiatrist Hoon J. Park, M.D., where he treated patients for pain management without the use of medication. He has also worked with orthopedists at OPTY Medical (now closed), with a focus on pain management and physical rehabilitation.

Acupuncture is a 3,000-year-old healing technique of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Conditions commonly treated by acupuncture include fibromyalgia, headaches, and pain in the back, neck, and shoulders. In addition, clinical studies show that it successfully treats conditions such as nausea, anxiety, and insomnia.

“We hope that Richard Yonke’s addition will open patients’ eyes to the myriad symptoms that acupuncture can effectively treat,” said Melissa Wolff, the medical group’s Marketing Director and Physician Recruiter. “His years of experience will make anyone new to acupuncture feel comfortable, and those who already benefit from the treatment can appreciate the convenience of treatment at Middletown Medical’s Physical Therapy Center, just three miles from Middletown Medical’s main center at 111 Maltese Drive.”

Mr. Yonke earned his Master of Science in Health Science/Oriental Medicine from the New York College of Health Professions in Syosset, N.Y.

Middletown Medical is offering special, introductory pricing for a limited time. Patients will receive an initial consultation for $50 and follow-up visits for $30. To schedule an appointment with Richard Yonke, L.Ac., M.S.O.M., call 845.344.1899.
