Motivala 2 2015MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Middletown Medical’s own Dr. Apurva Motivala, MD, FACC, FSCAI, was an Organizing Committee Faculty member and presenter at the TCT India Next 2015 conference, held from Aug. 14 through Aug. 16 in Bengaluru, India.

Dr. Motivala, a well-respected interventional cardiologist, joined colleagues from around the world for what is considered India’s Premier Interventional Experience.

Dr. Motivala addressed the conference on the use of stents and heart attack. His presentation posed the question: How many arteries should be fixed using stents during a massive heart attack? The ensuing discussion amongst multiple international experts in the field centered on the various strategies in application today, and attempted to reach an answer that has yet to be clearly defined.

Dr. Motivala is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, and a co-investigator in several of Columbia’s ongoing clinical trials. Dr. Motivala specializes in interventional cardiology and endovascular treatment for peripheral vascular disease, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He completed his Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell University Medical College.

Dr. Motivala sees patients at Middletown Medical for general cardiology needs, as well as for coronary and peripheral vascular interventional procedures.
