Dr. Friedman is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York/Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. He was Chief Resident at The Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Continuing his post-graduate training at the University of Maryland Hospital, he completed a fellowship in endocrinology.

Dr. Friedman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. As attending physician at Horton Memorial Hospital in Middletown, NY, he served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine as well as Chairman of the Department of Endocrinology. He currently is the Medical Director of the Dunkelman Diabetes Center at Orange Regional Medical Center. Dr. Friedman has worked in private practice since 1984, providing the highest quality of medical care and utilizing the latest technology and advances for his patients.
