We are proud to announced that Esther Argüello Perez, MD has joined our staff as part of our Internal Medicine team.
Dr. Argüello Perez is a board-certified physician specializing in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. She will treat patients at Middletown Medical’s office at 653 Harris Road in Ferndale, N.Y.
Dr. Argüello Perez completed her Internal Medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center and an Infectious Disease fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, both in New York. Prior to joining Middletown Medical, she worked as a physician in Nicaragua.
“Dr. Argüello Perez has the quality specialized training and diagnostic expertise that is essential in determining the cause of an infection and the treatment options available,” said Melissa Wolff, the medical group’s Marketing Director and Physician Recruiter. “We’re pleased to have her on board so that we can offer this specialized care to our ID patients.”
Dr. Argüello Perez earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and graduated cum laude from Universidad Americana in Managua, Nicaragua. She is licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York, and is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. She earned a number of awards and recognitions during her education, residency, and fellowship. Dr. Argüello Perez is also a published physician, and has been involved with several poster presentations spanning topics including TBI and HIV.
