MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (March 23, 2015) — Middletown Medical, the Hudson Valley’s premier provider of healthcare services, is pleased to announce same day and evening cardiology appointments will now be available at its main Middletown location (111 Maltese Drive) with the addition of Dr. Nisha Pillai, F.A.C.P., F.A.C.C. (pictured), to the staff.
Dr. Pillai is an award-winning physician who most recently served as Director of Integrated Heart & Health PC in New Hyde Park, N.Y. She brings more than two decades of experience to Middletown Medical.

Previously, Dr. Pillai served as an Attending Cardiologist in CCU & Telemetry with Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, N.Y., Director of CCU with The Brooklyn Hospital Center, and a Teaching Attending with The Brooklyn Cornell Cardiovascular Fellowship Program, Weill-Cornell University in New York.
A graduate of Medical College Kottayam, Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India, Dr. Pillai’s education includes a Residency Program, followed by Chief Resident, with the Department of Internal Medicine at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, as well as a Cardiovascular Fellow with The Brooklyn-Cornell CV Fellowship Program, Weill-Cornell University in New York.
Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Dr. Pillai is also a Diplomate with the American Board of Internal Medicine. She’s been the recipient of numerous honors for her work, including the AHA Women in Cardiology Award, the Tristate Excellence Award, and the Patients Choice Award by Health Grades USA for three straight years (2011-13), among others. She’s also well published, and has given many professional presentations.
