MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (June 24, 2014) — After an extensive Facebook and in-office campaign soliciting name suggestions for Middletown Medical’s nameless Pediatric Express mascot, followed by the three “finalists” voted upon on Facebook, meet PEDI.
“Children have always loved our mascot, but he never had a name,” said Dr. Stuart Tashman, Director, Pediatric Express. “Well now he does, and it’s perfect.”
The winning selection, chosen from hundreds of suggestions both in the Facebook contest, as well in the office, belongs to Maggie Mueller of Middletown. And for her efforts, she won a $50 Toys “R” Us Gift Card.
Pedi now greets children at the Pediatric Express Center in Middletown Medical’s new Chester location in the ShopRite Plaza.
Middletown Medical’s Pediatric Express is the first and only such service of its kind in Orange County, providing a member of its renowned Pediatric Team on-site until 9 p.m. during the week for Urgent Care walk-in services for children 18 and under. No where else in Orange County is this type of service available.
Pediatric Express caters to not only illnesses (such as fevers, ear infections, strep, etc.) and injuries (including those requiring splints and sutures), but newborn conditions, as well (colic, jaundice, feeding concerns, etc.).
