Jennifer ReichMIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (June 13, 2014) — Middletown Medical, the Hudson Valley’s premier provider of healthcare services, conducted its first Community Seminar on Hereditary Cancer Risk Testing this past Tuesday to a full house in Chester, and the presentation was met with much success.

Thanks to Dr. Jennifer Reich, a pioneer in the field, those in attendance were treated to a slew of hugely important information of this topic.

“The response from this seminar has been overwhelming, and we’re so pleased to provide such invaluable education to the community,” said Lori Marl, Operations Director.

Marl noted that because of last night’s reception, Middletown Medical will be conducting more of these Community Seminars in the near future (to be announced as scheduled).

Hereditary Cancer Risk Testing offers people with a family or personal history of breast, ovarian, colon and uterine cancers peace of mind, as mutations or variations in genes passed from parent to child can drastically raise the risk of cancer (in some cases 100%) — and knowing if you’re at risk allows you to take action to reduce this risk in advance.

In fact, up to 10% of cancers are due to factors that are passed from one generation to the next.

A short survey is available at to learn if you may be at risk. And complete information on the testing is available at And for more information, or to schedule an evaluation, simply call (845) 342-4774.
