Middletown Medical, the Hudson Valley’s premier provider of healthcare services, will be hosting a Health Fair on Saturday, Nov. 7.
The Health Fair will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Middletown Medical’s flagship location at 111 Maltese Drive in Middletown. The free event, open to members of community of all ages, will feature free health screenings for diabetes and blood pressure. Additionally, there will be educational workshops, as well as other resources and information regarding disease prevention through good health, physical fitness, and lifestyle changes.
All attendees can enter to win a new Fitbit Fitness Tracker, valued at $100.
Highlighting the event is the Teddy Bear Clinic, a fun, hands-on way to teach children what to expect at a check-up. Each child is invited to bring his or her favorite stuffed animal, on which the physician or nurse will perform an exam in order to make the child more comfortable in a medical setting. The clinic is recommended for children four to eight years old. Middletown Medical will also offer free shredding services from 9 a.m. to noon so that guests can bring unneeded documents containing personal health information to be destroyed.
