MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (December 9, 2014) — Middletown Medical, the Hudson Valley’s premier provider of healthcare services, is proud to announce that its Liberty Medical Group will be following up on its successful Thanksgiving Food Drive with the same efforts for the Christmas & Holiday season.
“We invite patients to join with our staff in placing food items in our collection bin, which we will then distributed to food pantries throughout Sullivan County,” noted Patricia Hewston, Operations Manager of the Liberty Medical Group.
Collections will be received up to next Friday, December 19, in order for the items to be distributed well ahead of Christmas. Items need to be non-perishable, and may include some of these suggestions, among others:
— Canned goods (soups, tuna, vegetables, pasta sauces, etc.)
— Pasta, noodles, rice, etc.
— Boxed goods (cereal, mac & cheese, hamburger helper, dried milk, etc.)
— Peanut butter
— Jelly
— Paper goods
The Thanksgiving drive was Liberty Medical Group’s first-ever such effort, and resulted in a significant quantity of food being collected, then delivered to the Immaculate Conception Church in Woodburne. The church used some of the food for Thanksgiving baskets they provided to those in need, with the remainder being placed in their food pantry.
