Similar to our reminder last Thursday to make sure your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in working order, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) urges homeowners AND renters each January to test for radon, a potentially deadly odorless gas, and the leading cause of lung cancer deaths among nonsmokers in America (claiming more than 20,000 American lives annually).
