My name is Migdalia Colon and I bring over 26 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, guiding them on their path to emotional well-being. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals and families reconnect and find healing, especially in my work with at-risk youth. In my past experiences, I have worked in Community Health, in the agency setting, as a care/case manager, and community clinical specialist, performing home based behavioral talk therapy. I have in the past also worked with patients diagnosed with substance use disorder, and those with dual diagnosis, as well as Early Intervention (EI). My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding the unique challenges each person faces, and working collaboratively to foster healthy, transformative change. Educationally, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mercy University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

As I join the Middletown Medical Behavioral Health team, I’m excited to contribute my expertise in individual and group counseling, specializing in anxiety, depression, and trauma-informed care. Together, we will work on the areas you wish to address, creating meaningful and empowering narratives that support your overall mental health and wellness.
