Dr. Ramesh Kumar Damacharla is a Board-certified Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology provider in Middletown Medical’s Pain Management & Rehabilitation Division. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Damacharla is trained in advanced approaches to pain relief, while maintaining thoughtful and compassionate patient care and treatment plans.

Prior to joining Middletown Medical, Dr. Damacharla served at a private family practice in Hyderabad, India; the POS General Hospital in Port of Spain, Trinidad; Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.; and Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, N.Y.

Dr. Damacharla earned his graduate medical degree from Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada, India. He completed his General Surgery internship at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV; his Anesthesiology Residency at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y.; and his Pain Management Fellowship at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Damacharla has also participated in the Medtronic’s Fellows Course, Advanced Bionics Course, and Advanced Neuromodulation Course.

Dr. Damacharla is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, the New York State Society of Anesthesiology, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesia, the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia. He is also advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certified.

In his free time, Dr. Damacharla enjoys tennis, chess, computers, and travel.
