BIO

Dr. Bikramjit Singh is an experienced hospitalist currently treating patients at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y. He is the medical director of Middletown Medical’s Hospitalist Program and an adjunct clinical professor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, N.Y. He also serves as a preceptor – a practicing physician who volunteers to give personal instruction, training, and supervision to medical students – at Orange Regional Medical Center.
Certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), he is licensed to practice in New York State, New Jersey State, and Pennsylvania.

Before joining Middletown Medical, Dr. Singh was serving as medical director of the Hospitalist Program for Central Orange Physician Services in Middletown, N.Y., and practiced as a hospitalist with both Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. and Crystal Run Healthcare in Middletown, N.Y.

Dr. Singh has also held roles at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Va., Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, Va., Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, N.Y., Thompson Health in Canandaigua, N.Y., Grand View Health in Sellersville, Pa., Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, Pa., St. Luke’s University Health Network Allentown Campus in Allentown, Pa., the University of Vermont Health Network Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Plattsburgh, N.Y., and the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Conn.

Dr. Singh has also committed time to the field of medical research. He has contributed to various research projects at the NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India, and more.

He has also contributed to many community outreach efforts, including volunteering with the World Health Organization, the Indian Red Cross Society, the National Service Scheme, a public service program which aims to instill the idea of social welfare in students, and the Youth for Rural Reconstruction Camp, a program that focuses on the importance of the development of rural areas for global youth.

Dr. Singh earned his Medical Degree from the Guru Gobind Singh Medical College in Faridkot, Punjab, India. He completed his general surgery residency at the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India and his internal medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Dr. Singh is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.
