Halina Yahorava, FNP-C, has joined Middletown Medical as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and provides care to patients in our Urgent Care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Ramapo College of New Jersey in June 2023, completing clinical rotations in adult primary care, pediatrics, geriatrics, women’s health, and orthopedics.
Following graduation, Halina completed a 12-month Family Nurse Practitioner residency in primary care at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York. During this time, she cared for patients across a wide range of specialties, including dermatology, adult and pediatric orthopedics, cardiology, ENT, emergency medicine, rheumatology, and nephrology.
Halina began her healthcare career in 2015 as a registered nurse at a nursing home and rehabilitation center, where she worked for three and a half years while earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She later spent five years as a registered nurse in the geriatric acute care unit at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and Paramus, New Jersey.
She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State, and is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Halina is also fluent in Russian and Belarusian.
Her early experience in geriatrics and rehabilitation shaped a compassionate, patient-centered approach that guides her clinical care. She is committed to providing thorough, thoughtful treatment and helping each patient achieve the best possible health outcomes.
Outside of work, Halina enjoys classical music, ballroom dancing, hiking, ice skating, and spending time near the ocean.
