Jennifer Ostrander, NP-C, is thrilled to begin her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Middletown Medical, serving the community she grew up in. With over 8 years of nursing experience, she is committed to building meaningful connections with her patients and collaborating with them to manage both acute and chronic conditions.
Jennifer earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Orange County Community College in 2016, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governor’s University in 2019. In 2024, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Mount Saint Mary College, becoming board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has worked across a wide range of specialties, starting with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the Arc of Orange County. She has also gained valuable experience in outpatient neurology, pain management, palliative care, and rheumatology. Most recently, she spent 4.5 years as a registered nurse at MidHudson Regional Hospital, where she provided care in an inpatient chemical dependency detox and rehab setting. She has a strong passion for helping underserved populations in the community.
When she’s not at work, Jennifer enjoys spending time in the sun, camping, or relaxing by the ocean. She finds joy in music, reading, good food, and the company of friends, family, or animals.
